Private Group San Francisco Tuk Tuk City Tour — FAQ

Everything you want to know before hopping in and seeing the city

Is the Private City Tour really private?

Yep! Every Lucky Tuk Tuk tour is a fully private adventure just for your group. Think of it as your own personal storyteller, photographer, and local guide whisking you through San Francisco’s highlights and hidden corners. No sharing seats. No rushed stops. It’s your ride, your pace, your photos, and your memories.

How long is the Private Group Tuk Tuk City Tour?

Tours are typically 2, 2.5 or 3 hours, depending on what you book. Looking for something different? Custom routes, different start times and durations are available—just ask and we’ll see what works.

Is this a good tour for our first day in San Francisco?

It’s one of the best first-day choices. Guests love getting oriented, seeing highlights early, and using the tour to plan the rest of their trip.

Can we customize the route or stops?

Absolutely—that’s the best part.
Your guide adjusts the route and stops naturally based on what you’re excited about: neighborhoods, viewpoints, photo spots, or hidden gems.

How much will we see on the city tour?

A ton. Guests regularly say they’re surprised by how much ground they cover—major landmarks plus hidden gems buses can’t reach—all without feeling rushed.

What sights will we see?

Does the tour go to the Golden Gate Bridge?

Yes! A Golden Gate Bridge stop is one of the ultimate bucket-list experiences on our private Tuk Tuk tours. Your guide can take you to some of the best bridge viewpoints in San Francisco — including Marina Green, Crissy Field and Fort Point,  These spots offer sweeping views of the bridge’s world-famous International Orange towers, the bay, and the city skyline. It’s an unforgettable photo moment and a must-do highlight of every tour.

Does the tour go down Crooked Street Lombard Street?

Yes — your Tuk Tuk can drive down the famous Crooked Street. It’s one of our most popular and most photographed moments! During very high-traffic periods, we may view or stop near Lombard instead.

Do you really stop for photos, or is it drive-by sightseeing?

We definitely stop. Photo stops are built in, encouraged, and never rushed. Your guide is happy to help grab the perfect group shot.

Will the tour feel rushed trying to see so much?

Nope. The flow is relaxed and flexible. Spend more time where you’re loving it and breeze past what you don’t—your guide adjusts to your group, not a clock.

What’s the difference between the 2-hour and 3-hour City Tour?

Both tours are fantastic—it really comes down to how much time you want to spend exploring.

The 2-hour tour is a great highlight reel. You’ll cover most of San Francisco’s must-see sights, enjoy multiple photo stops, and include a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s perfect if you’re short on time but still want to see a lot.

The 3-hour tour gives you extra breathing room and more exploring. Adding an hour means three to five additional locations and more time to linger at favorites. Extra stops often include Golden Gate Park, Ocean Beach, Haight-Ashbury, and the Painted Ladies—plus more flexibility for photos and hidden gems.

Bottom line:
Two hours = big highlights, efficient and fun.
Three hours = deeper exploring, more neighborhoods, and a more relaxed pace.

Ready to go? Jump aboard and let’s see the city.

Is this good for families or mixed-age groups?

Very much so. With minimal walking, comfy seating, and flexible pacing, kids, teens, adults, and grandparents all have a great time.

Why choose this over a bus or van tour?

Because it’s private, flexible, personal—and way more fun. Guests consistently say they saw more and enjoyed it far more than big group tours.

Sounds good? Let’s roll.

Your Tuk Tuk is ready whenever you are.
