Again this year in San Francisco is the Winter Park at Civic Center, which opens November 11th across the street from City Hall.

This new holiday destination is modeled after the internationally-famed Wiener Eistraum ice-skating rink in Vienna, Austria, the winter wonderland comes complete with 100x60-foot ice rink and dozens of illuminated trees. Along with adding a third ice rink to the city, the new attraction includes a 400-foot skating track (for those who really want to zoom) which winds through the lighted tree forest. Located in the historic Civic Center Plaza, the Winter Park is San Francisco’s newest holiday ice rink—and the first attraction of its kind, not just in the Bay Area . . . but throughout the country! In addition to the ice rink, the 400-foot skating track will weave skating fun through the lighted tree forest. This season, the Winter Park at Civic Center will also host fun San Francisco-based events such as a holiday tree lighting ceremony, a morning yoga, fitness and skate experience hosted by Daybreaker — and an opportunity to learn to curl.
